There are many people in the directly affected communities of New Ash Green, Ridley and Hartley who are not aware of the threat to their community. Let them know about the plans for the Solar Farm and direct them to this site.
If you are part of any community groups that use the area for their activities, ensure they know the risk the solar farm represents to their continued access and enjoyment. This includes scout or guide groups, youth development programs such as the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, walking or nature groups, and anyone else that you feel may be impacted by this proposal.
The area is enjoyed by people not only from the immediate vicinity, but from across the whole country and the more we can raise awareness, the greater support we will have in fighting back against this deeply unwanted development.
In order to improve our chances of successfully objecting to the solar farm proposal, many different streams of work need to be undertaken. We need volunteers to take on some of those tasks.
If you have professional expertise in planning or conservation and would be willing to offer your time, we'd love to hear from you.
If you would be willing to help raise awareness by delivering leaflets to your local area, please contact us at info@ridley-society.com.
